Max is a typical 14 year old boy. He loves gaming, sleeping and "being different". He is a delightful boy who engages everyone he meets with his humour and originality. He lives with his mother and two young siblings in Copenhagen.

Just before Christmas, on Thursday December 21st, his life was turned upside down by the sudden, unexpected death of his father, Julius Nielsen from a blood clot in his heart. His father was a clown, magician, juggler and moped enthusiast. He loved Max more than anything and he was loved by many, many people for his gentle way, generosity and kindness.

Julius was my partner. In life, on the stage and I am Max's "other" mother. I loved Max before I even met him. His father talked about him constantly and when I actually met him he had me. I love being with him, the three of us have had some wonderful times together and I am so grateful I am part of his life.

His father lived the life of an artist, with no financial security and has left no legacy apart from his skills, props and memories. Max will have to make his own path. He may follow in his father's footsteps but he may not!

I am setting up a fund for Max which I will be paying into monthly (others can make a contribution too if they wish) which will give him financial security for his future later in life. This fundraiser is aimed at giving the fund an initial boost and to pay for one special thing:

Some of the money raised will be used to pay for a small commemorative grave stone which Max will help design. A place for him to visit his father, which will be located within walking distance of his home. The remainder will go in the fund.
