Krystal Axe is doing the Weymouth Xmas Day swim for GO Girls! Support Group - who support women with gynaecological cancers.

Every year, for the last 7 years, Krystal has undertaken this cold and challenging Christmas swim to support causes close to her heart.

Just over 5 years ago, Krystal lost her own dad - he wasn't even 50. He sadly lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident. At a time of desperate grief, long-standing friend, Jan Hinton, immediately came to support Krystal and her family - unquestioningly, she was there for the family. So when Jan herself became sick with ovarian cancer and lost her battle last year, Krystal wanted to dedicate this year's swim in Jan's memory to support the GO Girls!, a cause very close to Jan's heart.

Teresa Wolff, Vice Chair of GO Girls! said: "It's so special for Krystal to do this for us. A young woman who has suffered her own tragedies, but like Jan, she is looking out for others - just as Jan always did".
