Story
Lost in the UK news media, probably due to ‘Royal Coverage’ and an epidemic of Brexititis, is a story which has almost been forgotten.
Last month’s dreadful earthquake, which affected the city of Kermanshah and surrounding areas, in Kurdistan in Iran, took the lives of thousands and left many maimed or injured. The Iranian government severely underplayed the extent of the devastation and much needed aid an resources failed to get through to those in most need. Many are without food and shelter and, with temperatures at night below zero, there’s a further risk of disease or death. Funds are needed urgently to provide aid and supplies and to begin to rebuild the infrastructure.
Please consider responding to this appeal or to Revd. Sally Smith''s Page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sally-smith-5 appealing for funds for Kermanshah hospital.

6 years agoMany thanks to those who have donated so far; it's very much appreciated. Two months after the earthquake, the need is just as urgent. If you are able to assist, even by giving a small amount, it can make a difference.
