Sri Lanka has one of the highest literacy rates in south Asia, however due to communities being under lacked in resources, facilities and equipment, this results in two of Sri Lanka’s main sources of income generating from tourism and remittance (working over seas )
Many rural school children can understand and speak basic words, however their conversation and comprehension skills are undeveloped.

This is why the english development programme volunteers in Sri Lanka as it provides a unique experience for pupils to gain a higher level of english, developing key skills such as speaking, reading and comprehension. 

In the summer 2017 I will be going to Sri Lanka in order to help children who have learning disadvantages and will be fundraising money to provide a certain amount of equipment and learning tools to facilitate for their needs. Not only will I be teaching the children, I will also be teaching the teachers on how they can teach their lessons in a more effective way to help the children’s developmental needs.

The money that you guys help me raise will go towards the needs of the wider community and to help provide for pens, books, technology and a comfortable learning environment for the children. However any money raised above my target will go towards costs of the flights for myself.
Doesn't every child deserve their chance in making their mark in this world?
