I'm raising funds to enable me to travel to Ecuador south America and the Galapagos Islands in the summer of 2019 for a school expedition. Our aim is to help maintain beaches and clearing up waste that is harmful to the environment and wildlife.
We will then travel inland where we will be helping local communities. This could be anything from building schools, facilities for families or medical centres, we will also travel up into the Andes mountains range where we will continue our work, giving families a more fortunate outcome in life, the simple things that we all take for granted. The Amazon rainforest is also a must where we will be helping the wildlife and reduction of deforestation by planting trees.
We will be digging watering holes for the animals, building anti poaching huts, planting food trees for orangutans, vaccinating livestock to list just a few of the things we will be doing whilst out there.
This is an amazing opportunity for myself to experience third world living and give something back. I will gain a lot of new useful skills such as plastering, building, carpentry and so much more. I will also gain life skills such as team work, it will give me confidence as well as memories to last me a lifetime!!
This expedition will also give me a qualification that is equivalent to a B at AS level giving me 16 Ucas points towards university.

The money raised will be going towards programme planning, support and expedition costs as well as the charity which use the money investing in local economies, communities, wildlife and environmental conservation.
