"...This Boat Must Hold Us All "
Is a community celebration and information event at Byker Community Centre as part of refuge week (19-25th of June 2017). It will be free and open to everyone!
6-8pm Thursday 22nd June.
The event will include singing and food from around the world, the Newcastle launch of "Threads of Humanity" (a group that uses quilt making as a way of bringing communities together and facilitating potentially difficult conversations ) and a work in progress, sharing event of my new performance titled " 7.2 Billion Ways This Boat Must Hold Us All "
The event has no funding from outside organisations and is entirely run by volunteers, all performers, facilitators and artists involved are volunteering their time so we (Byker Community Centre, Threads of Humanity and myself) need funds to pay for :
promotion of the event (flyers/ invites etc and ad in local print media)
Production costs (materials , refreshments and travel expenses for performers)
Volunteer expenses (travel expenses, and help towards child care costs)
We would hugely appreciated any donation you can make!
