I am a trained nurse and as such I am aware.that when you have a cardiac arrest your chances of survival without a defibrillator within 5 minutes is 12-15%!
With a defibrillator this increases to 75%.
So my ultimate aim is to have 3 fully automated defibrillators around Aintree Village so everyone has one within a reasonable distance.
These would be fixed to walls in a case which the emergency services would have the code to.
These defibrillators talk healthcare professionals or the general public through step by step what to do in both written and audible forms.
I think these would be invaluable in our community and hopefully save some lives!
