    Story

Hi everyone, Kevins Mammy here, we are trying to raise funds for Kevins operation this month which will hopefully give him a better chance in life.

Kevin is a 6 month old time bulldog who we have had since he was 9 weeks old. Just over a month of having him home he vomited and collapsed, we rushed him to the vets and he was transfered to the small animal hospital in Bearsden. He was very ill and we were told that he was only functioning on 5% of his lung as the other wasn't working, we were not sure if he would make it or not. After lots of treatment in ICU and further investigations it was found that Kevin had the following conditions: aspiration pneumonia recurrent, Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome(BOAS), mega esophagus, elongated soft pallet, hiatus hernia, he also had ecoli in his lungs and to top it off the wee man only has one ball!!
We wake up every day worrying if he is ok or not, and if he will survive.
As you all know he was rushed to the vets the other day as his airways were closing and his veins were collapsing.

To give Kevin any chance he needs to be hand fed from height and is on 4 different types of medication twice a day. We also purchased a nebuliser for him and he is on that 2-3 times a day for 20-30 minutes.
Vets have said on several occasions that we may need to make the decision to euthenise Kevin, that is NOT an option to us, we will give him as much a chance in life as he is our boy! His life is just as important as mine.

So Kevin is trying to raise funds for his hernia operation as it is pushing through his oesophagus and contributing to the pneumonia as food particles fall into his lungs. This operation will not fix all the other issues he has, but this will give him a better chance in life as it should stop the pneumonia from reoccurring.

To date we have spent £7077 on vet bills and any help would be greatly appreciated. Kevin means the world to us and we would be lost without him!! Thank you xxxx
