At the end of 2016 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. Not quite what I expected at the age of 36 and being fit and healthy! My chemotherapy treatment started the day before Christmas Eve and didn't finish until May 2017 but it's helped saved my life and the wonderful staff at Basingstoke Hospital could not have done more for me. The Basing Unit is where I spent many hours plugged into a drip having my treatment and the nurses and health care workers were all so lovely and cheerful no matter what the time of day or how busy they were.

To raise funds for this great department my wonderful sister Sarah and I will be running the Enduarncelife Dorset 10K in December 2017. This is an extreme level event ranked 5/5 for terrain meaning it will be no gentle run . It starts and finishes at stunning Lulworth Cove and covers the beautiful hills of the Jurassic Coastline.
