Myself and a group of 12 other students from Frances Bardsley are undertaking an expedition to Uganda. We will be assisting at two schools (New Era Nursery and Primary school, and Lungujja Model Junior School) previously visited by the 2015 expedition. They are both in dire need of assistance, as they are lacking even the most basic necessities (previously we built a kitchen and replaced a badly leaking roof in the other). We are unsure exactly what we are going to do, as many of the choices will be made in location. We will also be engaging in a variety of other activities to help the schools in any way that we can, such as teaching and painting murals to help engage the children and brighten the small classrooms.

We will also be supporting Helen, an 18 year old girl who cares for many of the orphaned street children in Kampala. We haven't been in contact since the previous expedition, and we are hoping that her and her children are still okay. We hope to provide her with all the help we can (last time we gave her the remaining funds from the schools, and quite a bit of our food money, enough to buy food and clothes to last them a few months).

As many of the young girls have no access to proper sanitary items or underwear, we hope to take as much of it over as we possible can, and distribute it evenly amongst them.
