As part of our NOT IN VAIN campaign, the charitable partner for Miss Universe Great Britain is A-Sisterhood. The name has come from bringing together the words ‘assist’ and ‘sisterhood.’ The website address is www.a-sisterhood.org and its purpose is to support, empower and protect women worldwide.

The funds will then be distributed to the causes we are supporting. They include:

• Smalls for All – a charity based in Scotland which provides underwear to women and girls in Africa. https://www.smallsforall.org/

• Women’s Aid – A number of Women’s Aid regional offices around the UK will be supported by A-Sisterhood

• National Female Genital Mutilation Centre – a UK charity based in England which is supported by Barnardos which is working to see the end of this crime against women by 2030. http://nationalfgmcentre.org.uk

• Stop Acid Attacks - a charity in India which helps women who have survived acid violence http://chhanv.org/

• The Black Mambas – South Africa’s first all-female anti-poaching unit protecting the rhino http://www.blackmambas.org

• The Read Foundation – We would like to continue our funding of education of 16 orphan girls in rural Pakistan
