Story
Layla is a warrior princess who was born fighting, born five weeks premature, Layla had a dysfunctional heart, with a several holes, and a valve which wasn't working as it should, causing one chamber to be too small. Layla had open heart surgery soon after birth and regular appointments at Alder Hay children's hospital leading up to another surgery at the beginning of May 2018. Layla was progressing well after surgery, however, due to unknown complications Layla suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday 11th May and was flown to Alder Hay where she was put on life support while tests were carried out. Unfortunately, Laylas brain was too damaged for her to survive and her life support was turned off on Sunday 13th May.
Layla is the only child of Daniel and Jessica, who doted on their princess, she sure had her parents wrapped around her little finger. Daniel and Jessica devoted their time to making Laylas childhood a happy one, and creating beautiful memories with her. Layla melted hearts everywhere she went with her huge smile and happy persona.
Daniel and Jessica are heartbroken, and we the family are devastated for them and with them. So many people have been touched by their strength and bravery.
We, the family and friends of Daniel and Jessica would like to raise money so that Layla can have a funeral fit for the princess she is, and to help Daniel and Jessica with living costs and expenses that occur with such a tradegy. Daniel works locally in North Wales and is taking some time off work to grieve, and we would love to make sure they don't suffer financially because of this.
Any help for Daniel and Jessica would be gratefully received with love and appreciation. Thank you for reading.

6 years agoThe Lawton Family would like to thank everyone for their support and donations for Layla. Daniel and Jessica have now began to make the arrangements for their upcoming farewell and the cost is much higher than originally perceived, therefore, we have increased the fundraising goal to reflect this. We would like to thank you for your continued support and well-wishes at this very difficult time 💕

I am Daniels auntie, after a discussion with several members of the family about how we can best help Daniel and Jessica at this difficult time, we chose to set up this page. I have watched Daniel, Jessica and Layla blossom as a family and I'm proud to be their Auntie 💕💕
