Ian, Chris, Lea, Steve and Lay Suan will be running the Wilmslow half marathon on the 18 March and we have chosen a couple of charities that touch our hearts.

1. Motor Neurone Disease Association : The lifetime risk of MND is 1/300 and the disease kills six people every day in the UK. There is no effective treatment and no cure. £10 will provide information pack for a newly diagnosed person with MND. £30 will buy an adapted cutlery set to someone with MND to continue to feed themselves.

2. Helping Manchester and Bury Homeless: A small charity who operates 3 street kitchens in Manchester feeding the homeless every week. They also run a night cafe 4 nights a week where the homeless can stay over, where the charity will work with the individuals on their rehabilitation, life skills and ultimately help them back into housing. £10 will provide an evening meal and some supplies e.g. socks/hat/gloves per person.
