Vi Wood, the founder of Leslie’s Care Packages (LCP) is organising a 10k sponsored Walk in aid of the Georgina Unit at Russell’s Hall, Hollybush House Care Home and Leslie’s Care Packages.

Vi explained why she had chosen to support the Georgina Unit. The nurses and doctors do amazing work, and they took good care of Leslie whilst he had his treatment back in 2015/16. She further added whenever Les had to go there, which was very nerve-racking for the both of us, they always made us feel at ease.

Vi also wants to support Hollybush Care Home, as she had worked in senior care and as a support worker for near to two years and is now working at Hollybush as a catering assistant. The home cares for people with dementia, so she understands the struggle and suffering many families face.

LCP is always in need of food and toiletry donations, so after any proceeds have been split, LCP’s share will be used for preparing care packages and parcels for the needy.
