Story

So i'm doing a half marathon... then 7 days later i'm doing another half marathon and I'd love people to sponsor me!!

I'm raising cash for Make a Wish foundation to help give little cherubs their perfect day, and put smiles on their beautiful wee faces. However, I know people don't always have spare cash to share, so you can also contribute by doing a good deed.

So in-keeping with Make a Wish, my 'deed' suggestion is: write a letter to a child (or their parent) who's struggling with illness. Remind them of the good things/tell them a funny story/draw them a picture... whatever you like - be inventive and cheer them up! Give me a shout if you're stuck and i'll rack my brain!

On a side note, you'll also inspire my fat ass to run two half marathons, and I promise i'll 100% appreciate it!

P.S. I’m not suggesting you start strutting around like some new wave Jesus, and tweaking your converse into sandals.... just do something decent to cheer yourself and others up, or donate to a good cause. Win, win! Over and out!

One down, one to go! I finished my first half marathon in 2hrs 3mins. Not bad considering I had a flu bug that week and the most i've ran is 8 miles. It was quite flat, so I was lucky. Anyway, I'm so pleased people have donated, thanks very much! It's a wonderful charity. To everyone who has written a letter.. you're awesome! I know you'll brighten someone's day. I'm posting more on Friday, so (if anyone reads this!) if you can't manage to post, just hand it to me and i'll stamp & send it off. Lots of love, the new found muscles in my legs.
