In May 2014 we had a idea. Let's go on a tour to Australia. An ambitious plan. For the last four years we have all worked hard fundraising. It has given us drive, commitment and team spirit to achieve our goals both on and off the pitch. We are nearly there and in July 2018 the Leigh RUFC Dragons team WILL be going on a tour to Australia! The team’s base will be Brisbane, staying at the Gold Coast Recreation Centre. The tour will then see Leigh RUFC Dragons play 5 games against teams from around the Eastern Australia region.

The tour will be a trip of a lifetime for the players, the flights are booked and we are nearly there with our fundraising but we continue with the final push to hit are target and make it as close to cost neutral as possible for the players. The tour has also acted as a development focus for players to aim for, bringing the team, coaches and supporters even closer together as one unit.
