FOR LENNON
Lennon was born with Vacterl Association, since birth he has undergone 17 operations, spent the first 2 1/2 years of his life in hospital and now has yearly admissions for chest and lung problems or more surgery. His most recent operation was on his spine as it is deteriorating and the bottom part of his spine (kypilosis) is pushing up on his middle curve (scoliosis) affecting his heart and lungs. This was major surgery to fuse his spinal bone. Just when we thought he was op free for a couple of years his parents were given the devastating news that he needed further spinal surgery and that it had to be done in May, so at the moment he is waiting to go in again. Lennon turned 12 at the beginning of May and hopefully will start high school in Aug. His parents have been told that social services will provide an electric wheelchair (as he is too weak for a self propelling chair) but this will only be for use at School. At 12 it's important to have a bit independence and self respect and not have to rely on your Mum pushing you about ! That's why we are trying to raise some cash so that he can have an electric wheelchair for home use. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping.

A electric wheelchair costs around £7000 but together we can do it.
