Im trying to fund a patio in my garden as a safe area for my son Leo to learn to walk in his walking frame. He has come a long way in the last year.
this fundraising is to pay for the materials to get the work started and have a safe area for Leo to learn to walk.
Leo was born with Mowat-wilson syndrome. there is around 300 children and people with this in the world so its rare.
this effects every part of his life. (feel free to message me if you have questions) Leo is one of the happiest children you will ever meet and has a wicket laugh that is so infectious that you cant help but giggle with him.
MWS effects him in many different ways. at 8yrs old he is still unable to walk or stand on his own. he has epilepsy, Heart condition (tetralogy of fallot), syndromic Autism, bowel problems, low muscle tone, globel developmental delay, severe learning disability. He is non verbal but makes himself known to those who take the time to love him. he loves music,books, cars, thomas the tank engine, building blocks (u build and he knocks them down lol), he trys really hard to stand but unfortunately at the min he cant. hopefully with a safe flat area to walk in his walking frame he can build strength. then after his last operation i am positive he will get the hang of standing soon.
