Hello my name is Cookie and im 17 years young. I had a good life with my daddy human but he passed away which made me very sad. My humans partner didnt really want me, so she passed me on to her son and his partner , I was excited to have a new mummy and daddy, but I soon realised they didnt really care for me. They didnt bother with me and I had started to feel a bit poorly. My teeth really hurt me, it was painful for me to eat, and 5 big lumps had grown on my tiny body too. Noone bothered with me, noone cared for me. They didnt take me out for walks to help me exercise, they would open the door and let me out, so I started to walk around the streets to see if I could find someone to help me. I was found twice but they just took me back to where I lived, they didnt help. Soon these humans became tired of me and passed me onto another family member, but this human had other family problems and couldnt look after me, so she took a picture of me and advertised me for free. I was very scared, all I wanted was a new family to love me and help make me better. Then, a lady human came and got me. She told me she was my new mummy and she would love and take care of me and try to make me better. She told me that her friend had seen me advertised for free and that her friend ran a charity in spain called no place like home helping other doggies that dont have a family. She told me she helps this other lady finding homes for these other poor doggies. My new mummy and daddy took me to the vets and I had to have all the rest of my teeth taken out, and I had the 5 big lumps removed, my mummy said they where called tumours. I thought I was going to feel better but then I felt poorly again and mummy took me to the vets. The vet said I had pyrometra, and I would need my womb removing. Mummy and her friends raised enough money to pay for all these things which made me feel better, but now I have something called pancreatitis and my kidneys are damaged too, my mummy has taken me back to the vets for some medicines and treatment to make me better, so she asked me to tell you all my story to see if you can help her pay for these bills. My mummy says im a tough cookie and im a fighter and that I deserve to live the rest of my life, loved, comfartably and free from pain !
