My name is Katie Daley, I'm 22 years old.
I am raising money for my mom who is bed bound to help get her equipment to help her be able to get out of the bed and go out and about so we can all have family days together again. My mom is called Lesley Dunphy she is only 44 soon to be 45 and is bed bound due to her disabilities. She has osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, lumbar scoliosis and degenerative L5 & S1 disk disease meaning the 2 vertebrae (backbones) that you sit on are crushing whilst the lower part of her spine is twisting, so she can't sit up straight but she still faces each day with a smile. She needs help to get in and out of bed, she needs help to do everything even the littlest of tasks is near impossible for her so I'm raising money to get her an electric wheelchair that can help her get a better life than in her bedroom in her bed, my mom is only 44 and confined to her bed which I feel is not right she deserves better she still has so many years ahead of her and as her daughter who loves her very much I want to help her have a better life and do everything I can for her.
I am currently struggling with my disabilities, but I am determined to raise as much as I can to help my mom because before she met my stepdad she was doing both parent roles she was my mom and dad before my stepdad came into our lives. She has always cared for me to the best of her abilities and helped me get the best quality of life so now I want to do the same and help my mom have the best quality of life even with her disabilities just like she has for me.
Please help me raise money to help my mom have the best quality of life that she can have, she gave me everything I needed and more and what independence I can have and good quality of life I have, I have because of my amazing mom, now I want to help her
