Myself, James and Adam have set ourselves the challenge of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in January 2018. This is a huge challenge which has crept around rather quickly and so we thought we would take the opportunity to raise money for some good causes in the process. We have paid for the trek ourselves and so all monies raised will be split equally between our 3 chosen charities.

As our challenge is based in Africa, we wanted to contribute to the local community there. One of the challenges they face is access to clean water and so we will be donating a third of what we raise to a water charity which works to improve their living conditions.

Because we are hiking up a mountain, love hiking in the UK and have a lot of friends who head out into the hills too, we will be donating a third to a UK based charity which deals with emergency call outs on the hillside in some of the bleakest conditions.

I have been a leader with my local Guide Unit for over 10 years now, offered as much as I can in terms of activities and experiences and absolutely love it. I would now love to try something completely new with them and take the group to Switzerland in 2019 - which will hopefully be an amazing Adventure for them, just like Kilimanjaro is for us. This is where the last third will be donated.
