    Story

Just a bit of information to those wondering why we have arranged a Charity Night.

This event is being held for our lovely friend Liz Keeble.

Liz is 'superwoman' (you will realise why below) and raises money for the Lullaby Trust and Action Medical Research for Children in memory of her baby daughter Lana Ruth.

This event is to raise money and awareness for Charities connected with Newborn babies and Premature passing ...

    Here is Liz's story ....

Little Lana Ruth was born at the Liverpool Women's very early at just less than 27 weeks...Weighing less than 2lbs. She was very pretty. She had lovely long fingers, a cute little nose, and big blue wide eyes. Her four brothers would have been so proud. In fact, they are and they ask questions about her and talk about her all the time.

Lana decided she would be early and as the doctors prepared to give me a cesarean she arrived in her amniotic sac. Lana survived many obstacles and came home from the hospital a month before her due date( after 9 weeks). The Women's hospital was amazing. Thank you. You saved us both. I remember the admiring glances and feeling so very proud of this very tiny person I held in my arms. Lana had the broadest most heart warming smile and loved to stretch and kick her legs in the bath. After 3 months and 14 days, I couldn't wake you one morning little Lana, my love. We will always miss you.

For Lana's tenth anniversary I took part in ten events, from a marathon to a half marathon to a triathlon in order to raise money for the Lullaby Trust who support those who have lost a child and stay with them as they try to rebuild their family, and stand up for tiny lives (Action Medical Research who research into prematurity) to help prevent this from happening to another family.

Now to celebrate Lana's life, Team Keeble and our wonderful family and friends hope to complete 18 events. These events will not just be running cycling and sweating, but wine tasting, holistic therapies, maybe a quiz and other crazy stuff.

All the wonderful support we received in memory of our dear daughter little Lana, has kept us going till the finish line and beyond.Thank you.

    So here goes...

Event 1 - The Liverpool Half Marathon Sunday 2nd April 2017.
