As many will know we started The Bobby Barnard Charity Match after my nephew was sadly born asleep. We have supported many local and national charities over the years raising thousands of pounds for Sands, Samaritans and Melton Mencap. This year will be the 4th annual charity day and we have decided to help a local school for children with special needs in Birchwood and after speaking to a friend 'The Treble One Trust' which helps people with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) which was founded by a local Police Sergeant Stewart Sparling before he sadly lost his battle with the disease aged 44. The Bobby Barnard Charity Match will be fought out by Avin A Laff UTD and A Melton District Sunday League Best XI and will kick off at 11:00am at The All England Sports Ground, Saxby Road, Melton Mowbray. After the presentation of the cup and man of the match trophies there will be a BBQ, Live Music and Raffle. It will be a great day and hopefully raise lots of money for 2 unbelievable causes!
