    Story

Liam is fundraising so that he can go on a Camps International trip to Borneo in 2019. We initially set up a page to help with paying the deposit for the trip and with your help that deposit was made and paid securing a place on the trip for Liam but now comes the hard part for him as he now has to raise the rest of the £4290 he needs to go on the trip. A massive thank you to those who have already donated on the original page. We will be keeping this page open over the next 12 months as he works to fundraise. If you can find it in your hearts to contribute to this page to help him along the way we would be grateful and keep an eye out for his fundraising events/activities over the coming 18 months.

This expedition will allow students to live alongside rural communities and work on projects which could include helping to build classrooms, community centres, combating deforestation or protecting wildlife. Students will also undertake an adventure element, and this year we have chosen a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving course.

Since Camps International started running expeditions in 2002, over 22,000 students have travelled with them from around the world. These students have collectively completed over 80,000 weeks of volunteering, worked on truly inspirational projects which have positively impacted on the lives of over 103,000 people.

The trip is not only beneficial to the communities they will be supporting, but it will be a fantastic opportunity for the students own personal development – creating unforgettable memories and undertaking an incredible experience which can be included in university and job applications.
