Story
On Monday 26th October 2015, Liam Dickinson died by suicide aged just 22 years old. Following this tragic loss, Liam's family have planned a Garden of Remembrance to be built at the church where Liam's funeral took place. The garden is not only intended as a memorial for Liam, but also a place of reflection for the people of Penistone and surrounding areas to go to and remember loved ones that have passed; in particular those taken far too soon.
The garden will consist of a stone path that will continue on from the existing path in the church yard and will lead to a circular area with stone seating. Looking forward, this area will then be surrounded with beautiful plants and flowers and be a serene setting for the public to use when they wish to take a few moments to remember their loved ones.
Recently, the plans have been accepted and building can now commence, however £5000 is needed by the end of April to cover the cost of materials and labour and in order to complete the garden within its deadline. Any donation will be hugely appreciated.

I am Liam's sister-in-law and also a member of Penistone Ladies Circle. This garden is intended for the community and will be a place that I plan to take my daughter to learn about her uncle. I can imagine this garden being used for decades to come - I hope we can make it happen.
