In March last year LifeRocks CIC and The Wiltshire Music Education Hub raised funds to allow young people identified through The Sound Emporium youth service as disadvantaged to access music tuition and group classes. A variety of factors were used to determine need; Pupil Premium, Service Pupil Premium, SEN, English as an additional language, Postcode, Family income etc. The funding provided by The Wiltshire Music Education Hub was primary supported by a generous contribution from Naim Audio in addition to smaller donations made by a number of other local companies.

Thanks to this generosity, LifeRock’s and The Sound Emporium have been able to deliver 100’s of 1-1 lessons and classes to children and young people that would have had little or no opportunity to access music.

There are a wealth of success stories and we have a number of great newly formed bands with members that 6 months ago had never picked up an instrument or started out knowing only a few chords.

This year we need your help! Due to the popularity of the project we are expanding and plan to help more children and young people in Salisbury and are seeking to raise additional funds, be part of the rock and roll revolution and make music accessible to everyone!
