For a number of years now our lovely village has had no lights at Christmas and Fenwick Community Council set up a project called "Light up Fenwick - Light Up Lives" to change this. As part of the fund raising drive, we are doing the "Ben Nevis Challenge" to try and raise more money for Christmas street lighting, and to complete groundworks, and erect & illuminate two Christmas Trees. This is an entirely new initiative which we hope will result in an annual switch on event.

As the birth place of the worlds very first Co-operative , the Fenwick Weavers Society, we aspire to continue with the original principals of a Co-operative society, and to weave new traditions into the village.The sense of excitement being generated by the project is very welcome in helping to create a real sense of positivity and re-energising the community spirit for which our beautiful village is renowned.
