Matt and I have made the decision to put our careers on hold to go to Athens in Greece to volunteer for Khora, a co-operative charity that work with refugees from all over the world in a community centre.

We plan to work in the community kitchen, play games and teach children, teach English and work in a free shop (to name a few) to help in any way we can to help rehabilitate and welcome refugees into western society. We hope to stay for as long as possible, with opportunities to travel to other places we may be needed as and when, and are looking to raise funds for our trip to help with our accommodation and food costs. I will be doing a blog while I am away, as this is not just about helping the people we encounter, but also sharing the true picture in Greece and life for a refugee.
