Me and Ryder Brown are taking part in the Inflatable 5k Obstacle Run at Colwick Park on June 24th to raise some much needed funds for RACR Animal Rescue.
"RACR a small, non-registered, non-profitable animal rescue in Nottingham that takes in local and some non-local rescue cases for dogs and cats. Some of the dogs come from pounds and we work closely with other services such as the RSPCA, police, housing officers and social services. We rely solely on donations. RACR only has volunteers and no one is paid which is what makes us work well as a team due to us all being animal lovers."
My own dog Dobby was a foster-to-adopt dog from an abandonment case that me and my fiancé assisted RACR on in August 2016, before then I fostered a few dogs for the rescue before they found their loving forever homes. Having worked with RACR, doing homechecks and transporting animals on vet runs and to the rescue when needed, I have seen the amazing work that they do which is why I am raising both funds and awareness for the rescue by doing this fun run.
Anyone who knows me knows that exercise is not my strong point, so for me to do a 5k obstacle run is going to be a task. Anything that anyone can donate will be much appreciated by me and the rescue!!
