Story
I'm running my first 10k race at Haydock Park on Sunday 16 July. I don't really like running! 5k has always been my limit. I'm doing this because a good friend of mine has been fighting inflammatory breast cancer since last year and finished 10 gruelling months of treatment in March.
This type of cancer is rare and it's very aggressive. Since completing her treatment just 3 months ago she recently found out that the cancer has spread. Rather than feeling sorry for herself, she continues to inspire us all with her positivity and her kick-ass spirit! So I'm doing it for her! And for the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network.
I know that many of you are already taking part in the Race for Life, or sponsoring others - but if you're not then please sponsor me. No amount is too small and will be greatly appreciated. Research into inflammatory breast cancer isn't funded by the government and it relies purely on donations from the public.
