Members of staff from Cornwall Housing’s Bodmin offices will be spending the night of 15th November sleeping rough at the Eden Project with just a cardboard mat and sleeping bag for warmth and comfort in aid of charity.
The Cornwall Housing staff taking part in the event are raising money for Cornish homeless charity St Petroc’s Society. They all work on the frontline for Cornwall Housing, helping people across Cornwall who have become homeless or face losing the roof over their head.
The Eden Project Sleep Out fundraising event is part of a national fundraising drive organised by the End Youth Homelessness Campaign aiming to raise £500,000 for homeless charities across the UK. Cornwall has the UK’s fifth highest number of rough sleepers.
