I am a current year 12 student at Great Wyrley High school and I have been offered the opportunity to go to South Africa in July 2017. In order to do this I will need to raise £2000.

This trip is organised by the Link For Life project, which is a charity that raises money in order to help vulnerable people within South Africa, with the main focus on helping orphaned children as well as those affected by HIV/AIDS. The money raised will go towards the expenses of the trip so that myself and others can personally help those mentioned previously. The money will also go towards the charity itself so that it can continue to raise money in order to keep offering their support for those who need it.

As part of this trip, I hope to widen my understanding of how those not as privileged as myself live and how I can use that privilege to help them.
