Hello - I'm doing a triathlon on October 1st with a group of friends to help raise money for my friend's little girl - Charlee. She is 20 months old and has a rare neurological disorder called Moebius Syndrome which means she can't smile, eat orally or swallow. She also has hypotonia (floppy muscles) which affects her movement and motor skills, a clef pallet and one kidney.

I've seen this beautiful girl since she was tiny get stronger bit by bit and even achieve things that you take for granted as a parent like turning her head or looking at a toy - but these are huge milestones for her. We are raising money for her parents to take her to the USA for therapy in the hope that Charlee will be able to eat orally and get specialist therapy to develop her motor skills and communication. The NHS have been brilliant but as the condition is so rare the right therapy is currently only available in the States.

I know there are so many worthy causes out there and so many of my friends do wonderful things for charity all the time, but if you can spare just a few pounds it will be a huge incentive to me to actually cross the finish line this weekend!
