My dear friend Shiela aged 80 lives in a bungalow in Lancaster and in the early hours of the morning had her mobility scooter stolen from outside her front door. The thieves took the scooter and smashed it to bits, pulled the wires out and made sure it was not repairable, This lady was devastated as this is her only form of independence and she has not got the money to purchase another mobility scooter. Shiela said that she was going to bring the scooter into her home earlier in the evening but was too afraid to step outside her front door as it was dark. She is now feeling even more vulnerable and afraid as she is worried that the thieves may come back. I am hoping for some kind hearted souls to donate as little or as much as you can so I can at least purchase a second hand scooter for her.
