Story
My mum Lisa Worley like everybodys mum is the strongest person I know and as human as I know she is, we always thought she would be indestructable. But sadly the world proved us wrong. On Sunday 19th of November Mum had a stroke and had to be admitted to hospital. As an immediate family of 7 our whole world was tipped upside down.
At 22 - the oldest of 5 children, I have now moved out of my family home but with mum having been the main bread winner in the house my family’s lives are now in jeopardy. With no sustainable way to pay for rent, bills and food, while my mum is in hospital the idea of a ‘normal’ christmas has flew out the window. I can only afford to just get by myself so I cannot help to the extent of which I want to. With other dependable children at home including my 3 year old sister I knew I had to turn to something else for help.
In the attempt to get by My step dad Mark is selling his custom built motorcycle which he crafted from scratch, entirely by his own hand. It has won awards, appeared in multiple custom bike magazines and has been through transformation to transformation and is honestly his pride, joy and passion, but not so much of that as my mum.
The asking price for the motorcycle is £4000 which is why Ive set the target here to the same amount in the hope that there may be a way of outright donating for the bike as well as other contributions.
This has happened to mum at an entirely too younger age. At 44 she was so active to the point where her job had her on construction sites in a hard hat, home life consisted of running around after a vivacious toddler and her hobbies had her flying upside down on a pole in the front room.
Infact the saturday night before, mum was performing in a pole dance showcase in a charitable attempt to raise money for a class members’ IVF treatment. She started pole dance in January in a bid to lose weight and she succeeded so far in that she told me on a drive back from a choreography session I was helping her with she had not been such a dress size or bodyweight since she was 18.
It was the day after when Mark had taken us all out for a celebratory meal to recognise Mum’s achievment and when we had got back home that the stroke hit and I had to call for an ambulance.
As many people can relate, our Mum is our rock through all the things that have gone wrong in our lives Mum has been a constant but now we have to be strong for her and hope that she pulls through to her original self.
If anyone can help I honestly will personally thank, visit and make tea for.
I’d also like to use this page to help towards speeding up Mum’s recovery process with the aid of private physio therapists if possible and when she is ready. As a dancer myself I only know how frustrating it is when an injury takes you out of class, and it is heart breaking not knowing whether Mum will ever be able to get back to pole again, and as a new passion that she discovered I dont want that to be taken away from her.
So in conclusion, this giving page is to raise money for:
• My Families wellbeing while mum is in hospital
and
• Helping to possibly speed up the process of her recovery so she can get back to herself (and pole)
Please donate as much as you can, and share afterwards. Thank you so much xxx
