As some of you may know, myself & Jackie will be running the *Lisbon Half  Marathon* on Sunday 15th October whilst aiming to raise money on behalf of Kirstie and her exciting adventure that will take her and 15 others over to *South Africa*  on 27th  October  2017. 

Here,  they  will  be  putting  the  finishing  touches  to  a  crèche  and  after  school  building  -  a  place  children  can  go  after  school  where  they  will  be  safe. Sadly  child  abuse  effects  a  horrific  57%  of  young  children  currently  and  together this is something we wish to combat by providing a safe and secure environment for children after school hours.

The 16 strong team, known as Purple Aid: Agents of Change, have personally raised  the  vital  funds to get these buildings up off the ground  and  onto  the  map. Our aim now is to help cover additional costs of decoration and making each building as comfortable and child friendly as possible,  this  will  be  money  that  Kirstie  and  the  team  can  utilise  once  they  are  there.

Once built and up and running, these buildings will then be fully supported by their local government, but more than that, the buildings provided will also create a lasting legacy as  together we will change the course of life for these children and for their children.
