For those who don't know of my story, my name's Sophie Wardlow. I'm 26years old,a positive young lady with a rather difficult tale.

Let me tell you my story...
From the age of 23 have had and beaten (twice) Endometrial ovarian Cancer. During this time, I have been misdiagnosed, had bits taken wrongly from me and refused other operations to find out how to cure my condition. I am on the induced menopause which is done by having monthly injections to suppress my ovaries from producing eggs. After being readmitted just over a month ago, it occurred to me that I cannot carry on this way. Enough is enough, no more in and out of hospital or putting my life on hold after managing to finally get my career back up on it's feet and back into part time work. I also know that should my cancer come back, I am not strong enough or able to survive another round of chemotherapy. I also don't want to spend the rest of my twenties in and out of hospital, holding my life to four week periods restricting where I live or furthermore living everyday in fear of the cancer returning. With this in mind, I have fought and finally managed to get the operation I so desperately need - a hysterectomy.

The backward thing with my story is that the NHS cannot freeze my eggs for me unless my cancer returns. I cannot take this risk, nor right now due to not working am I in a position to have a child before needing the operation. My only option left is to freeze my eggs. This is going to cost me £4,000. Money I nor my family have and money that I will be unable to pay back in time if loaned out. I am saving. I am working but it is with guts and bravery that I admit...I do need some help.

I tried to convince myself that I didn't want to be a mummy but in reality, I would love to have the option to and do not want to cancel out what could potentially be a possibility to create another life. Sometimes we have to be brave and ask for help, this is one of those times. With my heart, I thankyou X
