Story

Abdullah is 18 years old and has been diagnosed with a Chronic liver disease called Budd-Chiari syndrome. This condition is very rare, affecting one in a million adults.
Budd-Chiari syndrome affects the drainage in the liver, as a result the liver gets enlarged abnormally, causes ascites and abdominal pain in the early stages.

Abdullah has been to many physicians as well as specialist gastroenterologists who have urged that Abdullah needs an urgent transplant.

Why £25,000?

Abdullah lives in Kotri; a small town in Pakistan with his family. He is the youngest of 10 siblings, and financially his family are finding it difficult to afford medication let alone this transplant. His Father who is a retired civil servant has a pension which hardly meets their needs.

There are a lot of costs associated with a Liver Transplant in Pakistan, from providing the correct medication to the actual transplant itself which is very costly.

At such a young age of 18 when his priority is to go college he is having to go to different hospitals every other day.

He is in excruciating pain and finds his day to day activities difficult to do.

Let's help Abdullah overcome this difficult phase of his life.

Abdullah has been having various tests to start his treatment with medicine so that his body is ready for the transplant, he has been very nervous and gets quite upset easily. His family are trying to reassure him however it is not being easy for him to mentally accept it. Please Can I ask you all to keep supporting us and donating so that reach our target very soon. Thank You

Please continue to support this page, we really need as much support as possible. Me and my family are doing a fundraiser lunch, Please do come along and support us on the day. We have a cake for auction as well as a few pieces of Calligraphy art. Saturday 1st December 2-5pm!!!

In the early hours of this morning Abdullah along with his Father and his Uncle travelled to another city for a further CT Scan to check for any changes however the situation is still the same. Below is a picture of him with his Father; who took Abdullah out for some fresh air to divert his mind. It is an urge for all family, friends and friends of friends to share this page as much as they can so that it can assist us in reaching our target. We are very thankful for the support; we still need more support to make his transplant possible.
