Lizzie will be travelling through the UK over 3 days on a 100 mile running adventure while streaming LIVE - to help raise money to secure a future for our wild population of beavers in Devon. The Eurasian beaver Castor fiber once played an important role in our British landscape until they were hunted to extinction in the 16th century for their fur, meat and scent glands. The loss of this charismatic species had a knock on effect on our lakes, meres, tarns and bogs which this species inhabits! Lucky for us, beavers are making a come back but now the government is threatening to remove our wild beavers in Devon if we don't prove within 5 years time that they need to stay for good! Lets keep this magnificent species in our countryside for good.
