Weʼve raised £2,297 to help raise funds for two registered charities; Lillington Juniors Football Club & Birmingham Children's Hospital.
- Leamington Spa, United Kingdom
- Funded on Saturday, 8th October 2016
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
7 cyclists (parents and coaches) of varying abilities, including several beginners, will take up the HUGE challenge of completing a cycling ride from St James' Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne to North Leamington School, Leamington Spa over two days - 3rd & 4th September 2016 - cycling a total distance of 260 miles!
This really is a HUGE challenge for the cyclists, with several having only ever ridden 10-20 miles at the time of typing! We will update our Facebook page throughout the event with several Live Streams planned! We'd love support for when the cyclists return to Leamington - details to follow.

Please read below for our reasons in supporting the two charities.
One of the LJFC family recently received some devastating news, hence our reason for raising money on their behalf for the Birmingham Children's Hospital. Freya was born with Down syndrome & a hole in her heart. Despite the various operations Freya had during her short life, her smile made an impact to all that were lucky enough to meet her. Sadly Freya passed away suddenly on Sunday 26th June 2016 having recently had her latest open heart surgery. Because of Freya and all of the beautiful children born every day with illness or Down syndrome, we are cycling to raise money & awareness for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Money raised will also go towards a trip for the Lillington Juniors Football Club players, as we plan to take them to St George's Park, the home of England's 24 national teams, a truly inspiring place for players and coaches. Here the players will get a tour and take part in an FA-led coaching session on the indoor 3G pitch.
Please give as generously as you can, as every penny really will count.
