Please read below for our reasons in supporting the two charities.
One of the LJFC family recently received some devastating news, hence our reason for raising money on their behalf for the Birmingham Children's Hospital. Freya was born with Down syndrome & a hole in her heart. Despite the various operations Freya had during her short life, her smile made an impact to all that were lucky enough to meet her. Sadly Freya passed away suddenly on Sunday 26th June 2016 having recently had her latest open heart surgery. Because of Freya and all of the beautiful children born every day with illness or Down syndrome, we are cycling to raise money & awareness for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Money raised will also go towards a trip for the Lillington Juniors Football Club players, as we plan to take them to St George's Park, the home of England's 24 national teams, a truly inspiring place for players and coaches. Here the players will get a tour and take part in an FA-led coaching session on the indoor 3G pitch.
Please give as generously as you can, as every penny really will count.
