Christmas is coming and we'd love to have a Christmas tree to light up Gainsborough Square during this festive period. Last year it was funded by the council, but this year it's up to us to make it happen!

We're calling on all local residents who want to see a Christmas tree on the square to dig deep and support the fundraising efforts! If you don't want to give online, look out for giving pots at local venues too. Every little helps!

We'll also be getting in touch with local businesses to ask for their sponsorship. If you have an idea for how to help fundraise to get us to the total, please get in touch via lovelockleazefestival@gmail.com - thanks!

The money we raise will fund a large Christmas tree for the centre of the Square, including: collecting it, putting it up, making it safe and secure, adding lights, connecting power, electricity to power the lights and taking it all away again.

Cost breakdown (Please note changes on made on 12th November):
TREE - THANK YOU to a kind local family who are giving us a great deal a fab big artificial tree for this year... this means that we can save any leftover money we raise to put towards a planted tree next year!
LIGHTS - We already own the lights for the tree, but electricity has been estimated at £300-500

We've put the total at £1000 as we're still calculating costs for planting a tree. The more we raise, the better it will be and anything leftover will go towards next year.

**SAVE THE DATE**
On Saturday 3rd December we will be switching on the lights with a special guest! Carol singing, mulled drinks and a community meal. More details coming soon...
