Hello!
My name is Emma and I have been battling chronic anxiety disorder and depression for a very long time. During the past year I discovered a new skill - loom knitting - and began making tube scarves. Eventually I made so many that I sold some to a neighbour and at a craft fair and gave the rest as presents. (EVERYONE got a scarf for Christmas!)

Making the scarves really helps keep the symptoms of anxiety at bay and knowing I have a purpose has a positive effect on my mental illness. Selling the scarves means I can contribute to my family's income and giving scarves to homeless projects means I'm contributing to society.

I am about to start selling the scarves online, as well as 'in real life' and recently had what I hope is a bright idea: for every scarf I sell I will make and donate another to a homeless charity. (I shall update this page when I open the online shop.)

The tube scarves are warm and stylish. They're double the thickness of normal scarves, without the bulkiness of wearing two! I personally choose all the yarns for their colours and wearability.

I'm hoping to raise a seed fund of £200 to pay for yarn so I can keep on making extra scarves for homeless projects.
