20 months ago i was diagnosed with breast cancer. After three operations in close succession i then had to undertake chemotherapy and herceptin treatment. The care that i and many others receive from this unit is second to none considering the daily pressures they are under. I decided with the help of my darting family to organise a charity darts auction in aid of the unit to help raise vital funds for equipment etc. Although this event hopefully will be very successful, i decided to set up a just giving page to help boost donations and for those unable to attend this event. I am pleased to say that i am cancer free but still visit the chemo unit every 6 months for vital intravenous preventative drugs. None of us know if, or when we will ever need vital chemotherapy to keep us alive so please no matter how small the donation, every penny matters. Thank you for reading.
