CLIMB MT KILIMANJARO FOR CHARITY

This July Emma and Sarah are heading off with fellow swimmers from straight2swimming in an endeavour to climb Kilimanjaro. Their reason for doing the climb is to help others whilst also going on their own special journey. They will be doing the climb with Kilimanjaro Achievers a not for profit organisation which appreciates this sense of giving back more than most. Already through projects undertaken they have raised hundreds of thousands of euro. In Tanzania they support the Cheti Orphanage in Arusha and you can too.

In Tanzania they are working very closely with their African colleague Dr Clemence at his clinic, The Shamah (Biblical reference meaning ‘God be with us’) located in the Municipal District of Arusha. Each month alone, the clinic treats in excess of 550 patients for malaria & HIV related conditions. 75% of these patients have no monies to pay for drugs or treatment.
