Story
Lola-Mai suffered a stroke shortly after delivery, which resulted in left side hemiplegia. She has limited mobility on her left side and complex epilepsy caused by the brain damage during the stroke. She frequently has nocturnal seizures which are quite traumatic for her and single mum Jessica. Lola still sleeps in mums bed at the age of 7 for safety. Mum needs to be close at hand to administer emergency medicine if a seizures lasts longer than 5 minutes as this could be fatal.
We need your help to raise £1000 for a epilepsy wrist alarm system. This would mean Lola could sleep in her own room and play independently anywhere at home, giving her freedom to act like other children her age.
