Completing a World Challenge expedition is an educational travel experience that goes on rewarding students, long after they return home. Challengers achieve more than they thought possible by stretching beyond their comfort zone, and this sense of accomplishment colours their ongoing view of themselves and their place in the world. They must raise the bar in terms of physical fitness, communication, teamwork and organisation, all highly valuable skills they can draw on in their post-expedition lives.

Some Of What I Will Do -
Community
The project phase of an expedition is typically 5-7 days spent working alongside a local community or on a conservation project. Each destination has its own range of projects, but all offer the chance to contribute something meaningful back to a local area through youth work abroad. Many school community projects are based in rural and remote areas where Challengers live and interact with local people. Teams become familiar with the community and are immersed in daily life and traditions, offering an unrivalled cultural experience.
Mount Toubkal
Climb to an altitude of 4,167m trekking up Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and North Africa.

About Me-
I am 17 and in 6th Year at Grangemouth High School. The cost of the trip is £2000. To date I have raised £1500 from working part-time through the summer holidays and continuing to work to raise funds.

On April 23rd I am doing a sponsored abseil from the Titan Crane in Clyde bank to help me raise my final funding for this trip.
