Please help me kickstart the Red Box Project in Calderdale by raising enough funds to set up collection points and get our very first ‘Red Box’ of sanitary products into local schools.

Period poverty is a real issue, Plan International UK conducted a survery of 1000 women aged 14 to 21*. The findings were that 15% struggled to buy sanitary products and 10% could not afford to buy them at all. 12% reported that they were forced to ‘improvise’ and create their own sanitary wear. Improvisation means cutting up t-shirts, socks etc to create makeshift sanitary products!

Red Box Project was set up last year with a bid to improving the situation for girls in schools. This week Red Box Project was happy to report that there are now boxes in 400 schools across the country.

My aim is for Calderdale schools to be the next ones on the map .... Calderdale does not have any boxes and my mission is to get help into as many schools as i can!
