I'm running the Carsington Water half marathon on Sunday 25th February 2018 in loving memory of my dad here's why....

Having lost my Dad to Parkinson's 5 years ago in January 2013, I lived through this condition with him 15 years prior to his death. It was a very difficult time I was only in my early twenties and I had to watch my Dad go from a big strong man to someone who was bedridden. There were many lows and I wish I had known about the support offered to families to help them through these difficult times. It was an emotional rollercoaster ride one which I will never forget and still haunts me now. However, I wanted to do something positive and help other families have the support they need. Also I want to make my Dad proud and his memory live on for his grandchildren.
