On the 10th, 11th, and 12th March 2017, I will be running the distance of 3 Half marathon's (one a day) ending on the 'Bath Half' in order to raise money for my school expedition to Kenya in July through the company 'Camps International'.

We will be living and working alongside local people on a wide range of initiatives designed to help improve living standards within their community. In the rural areas of East Africa, the majority of people are living below the poverty line and don’t have access to proper education facilities, medical treatment or even clean drinking water. Projects I may be working on include:

• The building of new classrooms so that more children can attend school in a safe environment,
• The construction of school desks and the implementation of proper toilets, increasing hygiene for students
• The improvement of school kitchen facilities, so that more mouths can be fed.
• Digging and maintaining watering holes for elephants.
• Erecting elephant deterrent fences around community crops and villages.
• Maintaining perimeter fences of wildlife reserves.
• Educating local communities on living peacefully alongside wildlife reducing human/wildlife conflict.
• De-worming livestock to ensure animals are healthy for the community.

I am incredibly excited to be a part of such a great initiative and can't wait to help those living in conditions we can hardly imagine here.
