Story

My name is Lucy Knight. I love running, but I am not a natural! I last ran a half marathon 7 years ago and came 3rd from last! I am inspired to lace up my trainers and have another go - running Manchester Half Marathon 15th October 2017 for a very special charity ARK (Animal Rescue Kefalonia).

We visited ARK in summer 2016 and I was absolutely blown away by how hard the volunteers work. They achieve so much against the odds to help so many abused, neglected & stray dogs and cats.

Winter is really hard, as tourists don't visit meaning fewer donations. It would mean a lot to me if we could support the ARK 'winter food and shelter fund'. It would be great if we could show some love from our corner of the world to theirs. All money raised will be donated by me to ARK via ARK Doris UK. Thanks, Lucy
